TDC Tapped to Create Brand Identity for Over-The-Top Video Offering

NRTC looks to agency to develop brand identity elements for its OTTerTV service

Washington, DC, November 5, 2015—It was announced today by David Franek, president of The Design Channel that they agency has been awarded the assignment for designing brand identity elements for an Over-The-Top (OTT) video service developed by longtime client National Rural Telecommunications Cooperative (NRTC).

OTTerTV, as the service will be called, enables rural telcos to offer highly competitive packages, in terms of desirability and cost, of video programming and content to their members. This content can be viewed over a broadband connection on laptop computers, smart TV’s and phones, and tablets.

“More and more viewers today are cutting the cord to their cable and satellite TV providers,” said Franek. “OTTerTV is a service that enables these people to access the TV shows and movies they want without a costly cable subscription that often bundles channels and content that they don’t want. And OTTerTV also includes local channels in its packages, along with popular national networks.”

The assignment for OTTerTV includes the development of a logo, tagline, app button, and a brand style guide. The launch of OTTerTV is tentatively scheduled for mid-January 2016.
