TDC Receives Multiple Communicator Awards for Work in Health Fields

Campaigns supported healthcare, colon cancer prevention, and medical education

Washington, DC, June 4, 2019—TDC president and chief creative officer David Franek announced today that the agency earned three statuettes from the Communicator Awards, an international program honoring notable work in marketing communications. The awards included a Gold Award for Morehouse Healthcare branding and marketing; a Silver Award for the “Use Your Head” campaign for the Advanced Digestive Care (ADC) gastroenterology practice network; and a Silver Award for communications surrounding the American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine (AACOM) “Educating Leaders” annual conference.

“We’re pleased to be recognized for communications assets that can enhance awareness of healthcare services, broaden medical education, and help save lives,” said Franek. “We take pride in all of our work, but we are especially appreciative of having the opportunity to do work that can ultimately affect the wellbeing and lives of individuals and their loved ones.”

TDC’s work for Morehouse Healthcare supported a wide range of service lines—such as primary care, women’s health, pediatrics, and weight management—and was executed across multiple communications channels. These included print, social media, PPC messaging, content marketing, brochures and collateral materials, email, and others.

The campaign for ADC—“Use Your Head to Cover Your Butt”—focused on the fact that a colonoscopy screening is the only test today that can reliably prevent colon cancer, and touted the expertise of ADC doctors and staff in all aspects of digestive care. It ran from January through mid-May this year, was executed in Northern Virginia newspapers, shopping cart displays, online banner ads, a landing page, and radio.

Our assignment for AACOM centered on the development of an array of materials to support the association’s annual conference. Based on a branding platform we had previously developed for AACOM, we designed the conference program, registration form, onsite signage, web graphics, and credential cards.
