TDC Earns Multiple Award Honors

Agency receives four awards for branding and marketing communications work

Washington, DC, May 22, 2018—David Franek, president and chief creative officer of The Design Channel (TDC), announced today that the firm collected four Communicator Awards for recent branding, cause marketing, and website design assignments. TDC received an Award of Excellence for its “We Are Nurses” campaign for the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), and Awards of Distinction for work on behalf of the American Telemedicine Association (ATA), the United Way of the National Capital Area, and Universities Research Association (URA).

Franek said, “We’re excited about the recognition for our work, but equally grateful that our clients are genuinely interested in having branding and marketing platforms that stand out from the crowd. Our clients deserve an equal measure of credit for encouraging us to develop campaigns and communications programs that depart from expected approaches.”

TDC’s campaign for AACN, an organization dedicated to serving the needs of baccalaureate nursing colleges across the U.S., was comprised of print advertising, website landing page design, banner ads, email templates, a brochure, a self-mailer, and banner-up displays.

For ATA, TDC developed a sub-branded identity, look and feel, and messaging theme, for the association’s annual conference. The branding and marketing included an evergreen logo design for use on future annual meeting materials, a conference website, a sales prospectus, online graphics, banner ads, conference exhibit materials, PowerPoint templates, attendee badges, and other collateral pieces.

The “Do More 360” campaign for the United Way of the National Capital Area consisted of a logo, marketing brochures, posters, a membership guide, and workplace handbooks that centered on a new look-and-feel developed by TDC.

The work for URA was a comprehensive overhaul of the organization’s main website and two intranet sitesthat resulted in a significantly more engaging visual presentation and greater functionality for both visitors and internal stakeholders.
