Kids with Food Allergies Branding Work Wins 2023 Communicator Award

New brand identity and website strengthens association’s outreach to families with food allergy burdens

Washington, DC, May 3, 2023—TDC president and chief creative officer David Franek announced today that the branding assets the firm recently developed for the Kids with Food Allergies (KFA) division of the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America (AAFA) was awarded a 2023 Award of Distinction from the Communicator Awards.

The awards program is sponsored and judged by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts, which recognizes outstanding achievements in marketing and communications. The Award of Distinction is the Communicator Awards’ highest honor.

Franek said, “We are delighted that the KFA work was recognized. The organization offers critically important information and resources to families who are affected by food allergies, and it is gratifying to be in a position to help enhance its visibility and accessibility to its audiences.”

TDC developed a new brand identity for KFA; an entirely new KFA website that included a fresh brand look-and-feel, new navigation, and an easier-to-use recipe database; and coordinated the creation of illustrations used throughout the website that reflected the wide diversity of children affected by food allergies. In addition, TDC created a new website for AAFA, with its own unique look-and-feel and navigation structure.

TDC is currently working with AAFA to maintain and optimize both website properties.
