Health Education Consortium Looks to Establish Visual Brand Identity

FASHP taps The Design Channel to develop logo

Washington, DC, February 16, 2017—David Franek, president and chief creative officer of The Design Channel, announced today that the agency has been selected by the Federation of Associations of Schools of the Health Professions (FASHP) to create a logo for the organization.

FASHP is an assembly of associations comprised of health education institutions that seeks to advance the education and professional development of health care professionals. Members of FASHP include the American Association of Colleges of Nursing, the American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine, the American Dental Education Association, and other leading associations.

“This assignment is a great opportunity for FASHP to begin establishing a brand identity that can help it gain additional traction and awareness in the health education world,” said Franek. “We look forward to creating a logo for FASHP that will be engaging but also helps to convey the importance of the organization’s purpose.”

Development of logo concepts and options will begin in late February and continue through early March.

About FASHP

The Federation of Associations of Schools of the Health Professions was created in 1968 as a forum for representatives of health professions education institutions to address education’s role in organizational patterns of health care; to encourage effective collaboration among the professions in education and practice; to prepare health professions education for the future; and to serve as liaison with other organizations sharing an interest in health professions education. FASHP is comprised of 14 associations representing a wide variety of health professions schools.

In addition, FASHP advocates support for federal programs that help motivate involvement in underserved communities. These programs provide critical opportunities for health professions training; support a more patient-centered, team-based health care system; and help increase access to primary care.
