The Designetwork receives AVA award for “A Designer’s Journey” film

Film chronicles the life of PatTaylor whose career paralleled the graphic arts revolution of the ‘60s.

Washington, DC, January 5, 2009 –The Designetwork received an Ava Award from the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals for its short film paying tribute to PatTaylor, a graphic artist renowned for his logo design. “A Designer’s Journey” written and directed by David Franek, president ofTDC, is part of the company’s on-going effort to develop interesting and entertaining content about the world of design. It is one in a series of films in “A Designer’s Journey,” which appears on thedesignetwork.com site.

The international Ava Awards recognizes outstanding work by creative professionals involved in the concept, writing, direction, shooting, and editing of audio-visual materials and programs. Entries include film, analog and digital productions viewed in a wide variety of media—from feature films to television to computers. Entrants include video and film production companies, web developers, advertising agencies, PR firms, corporate and government communication departments, producers, directors, editors and shooters.
