Agency wins numerous awards for education, non-profit, and healthcare clients
Washington, DC, December 16, 2014—David Franek, president of The Design Channel (TDC), announced today that the agency earned five awards at the 2014 MarCom Awards, a major international competition for the marketing communications industry. TDC earned two Platinum Awards, the highest honor; three Gold Awards; and an Honorable Mention, for a range of work that included individual collateral pieces as well as comprehensive multi-channel campaigns.
“It’s always satisfying to be acknowledged by clients for your hard work, but it’s also great to be recognized by your peers,” said Franek. “This past year we’ve had many opportunities to do outstanding work and our team came through time and again with concepts that stopped people in their tracks, changed the way they think, or motivated them to seek more engagement with our clients.”
TDC received a Platinum Award for its “Feed Your Geek” undergraduate admissions campaign for Capitol Technology University and another Platinum Award for its “World Leaders” Executive Degree Program viewbook for the Georgetown University McDonough School of Business. Gold Awards were received for branding campaigns for Barnesville School of Arts and Sciences and the American College of Radiology’s ACR 2015 Annual Meeting, as well as for a new business acquisition direct mail program for Innovation Health. A brand campaign for Capitol Technology University earned an Honorable Mention certificate.
The MarCom awards is administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals in Arlington, Texas. It recognizes outstanding creative achievements in print, visual, audio, and web materials and programs. The competition attracts approximately six thousand entries around the world annually.
