Allergy and Asthma Foundation of America Selects TDC for Major Website Redevelopment Projects

Association looks to upgrade user experience and content access on website properties

Washington, DC, January 3, 2022—TDC president and chief creative officer David Franek announced today that the Allergy and Asthma Foundation of America (AAFA) has chosen TDC to redevelop the organization’s two primary website properties. These include AAFA’s main site, aafa.org, which provides valuable education and content on living with and treating allergies and asthma, and kidswithfoodallergies.org, a division of AAFA focused on reducing the burden of food allergies on children and families.

“We are thrilled and honored to be selected by AAFA for this important assignment,” said Franek. “Millions are affected by allergies and asthma, and AAFA is the nation’s leading resource for information, community, and advocacy. The two sites are critically important destinations for allergy and asthma sufferers and their families, and we look forward to making these properties even more valuable, engaging, and accessible for their audiences.”

Initially TDC will conduct a discovery effort among AAFA board members, staff, regional and local chapter leaders, and consumer members to gain a thorough understanding of current perceptions surrounding the AAFA and Kids with Food Allergies brands and website user experiences. These insights will help inform high-level messaging, navigation, and site design.

The technical redevelopment work for both sites will comprise a comprehensive audit, site architecture assessments, migration of content, a new design look-and-feel, functionality enhancements, page templating, and wide range of other elements. The redeveloped sites are scheduled to launch by the end of May 2022.
