The Behavioral Health Services division of the Frederick County (MD) Health Department desperately needed to replace an outdated video that supported Kids Like Us, a program offering counseling for youths experiencing trauma from their parents’ alcohol and drug abuse. Our production incorporated a mix of young actors representing characters facing different types of trauma and difficult home lives; a youthful adult host who helped to explain the emotions felt by each character and presented steps to cope with difficult situations; as well as animated sequences that brought each story to life and increased viewer engagement and understanding.
