The Design Census is a partnership between the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA) and Google that, in 2016, surveyed professionals in the design community on various aspects of their workplace. David Franek, president of TDC, participated in a project in which he was invited to create a visualization of data from the survey.
One area of the survey focused on job satisfaction and revealed that, among respondents, 80% were happy with their jobs while 20% were not. David took this information and created a typographic image entitled “I LOVE MY JOB I HATE MY JOB” that showed how both numbers were equally important and interrelated:
